You don`t - you succeed by paying employees fair wages to keep them happy and recruit good people.

Before downscaling wages, take a hard look at your pricing/charges.  Determine your actual profit line from your costs.  Are you charging enough for your product/service?  Instead of rolling back wages, look at other possible efficiencies.  Can you reduce waste? reduce time? increase productivity?  Change marketing schemes?  All of these can increase the bottom line without losing good personnel due to wage scale backs.

Ditto Nikole! It`s that old addage, "You get what you pay for." Invest in good people and watch your ROI go up!

`Keep employees salary low` seems a rather strange approach to me. You need to be seen to be fair when it comes to wages and then introduce strategies to boost staff motivation.
