Recently www.elusivetreasures.com has undergone a major upgrade to help with SEO issues as well as creating a friendly environment for our customers. Many of the members of SuN have contributed to suggesting components to the upgrade by way of private email. I am here today saying, “The upgrades are complete!”

A website is more like a living entity rather than a finished product. I hope you can find time to critique my site. Thank you for the time you spend writing a response too.

Vincent - looks great!

BTW, how many Spider Plant starter kits do you sell? If you need a supply, I`ll be your wholesaler. I`ve got a goldmine of spider plants

Vincent-

Nice and clean.  A couple of items for future adds would be to link your content that refers to specific products or categories.  While some users will navigate a site via you nav choices, many prefer to click right when they`re reading about something of interest (like linking wooden flowers in your opening paragraph).

Another SEO helper is page titles.  Major engines are thought to index atleast 15 words of page titles.  The titles combined with page content help build better organic (free) SEO results.

Good luck!

keycon... We`ll. We`re about to find out! I had wonderful carnivorous plants that have done well… then the supplier stopped selling wholesale. They were having difficulties keeping the supply and decided to only sell retail. Well, there went a bunch of my plants. I am still repopulating the store, so you will see some cactus and authentic bonsai trees coming.

asap… That was great. Yes I agree I should spend some time on that!

Thank you for you responses. I am happy to hear that overall, it’s not bad yet. I have to admit I was a little afraid to stick my head out. I have been working pretty hard on this and didn’t want to have my hard work squished. But really, I know I need to hear the criticism. That’s what make me better.

Please tell me more everyone.

Same here, very long load time. I don`t know why, as I went to it directly the other day by typing in the URL and it loaded immedinstantaneously. (Made that word up...think I can get it into Webster`s?) :-)

Very much nicer site, and you shouldn`t be so nervous! :-) Everyone here is learning, changing, growing, freakin` out about whether or not they`ll be accepted as a business...and so forth. You`re not gonna get slammed! This is all about like-minded people, with similar problems and anxieties. Y`know?

Thanks Kathy and CraigL... Yes, I noticed the site was loading very slowly yesterday. I am going to keep my eye on that and possibly poke on my host to see if something in their system has changed... Thanks for your time.

Vincent - solid update!  I`ve got a simple next step for you; add a sitemap.  Just a single page, create a link to it in your footer, and have it map out all of the major sections of your site.  It`s a basic best practice (and yes, I know we need to add one here) in both website design and search optimization, not to mention a great tool to keep you eternally focused on the structure/architecture of your site.

Good work - keep it up!

Vince--
Well done. It`s not only really attractive, but, also easy to navigate.
Wow. That`s all I can say.

Vincent,

Just wanted to say that the site is one very solid leap forward!  I`m especially fond of the way the site deals with different sizes/colors.  Very attractive.

One thing I noticed is it doesn`t *appear* as though your cart is maintaining inventory and I personally hate when you get all the way through the order process only to find the item is backordered.

Great work though!
