Hi everyone,

I have an established business that relies heavily on wholesalers in addition to our manufacturer relationships.  As my relationships with the wholesalers is established, they are offering me access to inventory and pricing feeds that would be able to integrate with my inventory software.  In theory the next step from there would be an e-commerce storefront.  Therefore it is time for the launch of the next step in my business and am starting on a revamp of the business plan.

The problem is that after 10 years I am still running Quickbooks which to the best of my knowledge does not allow for inventory feeds.  So I am looking for options and opinions in the ERP software field, as well as information as to estimated cost to implement the software with 5 new computers and most likely a new server.

From there I need to develop an ecommerce website and am looking for resources (reading material) and ballpark costs.  I am not very tech savy so I would be looking to have third parties host as much as possible.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to use an independant consultant that has experience in your industry as well as how to negotiate software contracts.  The best one I have found is www.negotiating-software.com

They should be able to help out.

Hope that helps.
