Howdy all,

Hoping someone out there can answer that question.  I`m a sole proprietor of a small business, and filed in 2006.  I make jewelery and tshirts and filed as such.  I`ve opened a bank account, but never really needed to deposit money.  But now I would like to use my small business for all my income (I`m also a virtual assistant) and would like to file it under the company.  Is it too late to get an EIN?

No it`s not to late. If you choose to call the Government will ask you when you started the business and try to use that start date, then they issue you temporary number then send you the EIN number in the mail. It`s best to talk with them over the phone so you can get all your questions answered.

I hope this helps.
