WordPress is not content management?

I`m using it for CMS right .... here. And I`m about to do a few more.

I wonder if maybe a better analogy would be to say that Microsoft Word creates Web pages at the push of a button? It does, but I wonder how many Web developers would recommend Word as their primary tool?

I mean, in relation to NuEvolution`s comment that WordPress is rather a blog than a proper content manager?

I`ve used it as a CMS as well, and with some of the updates they`ve made in the latest version, it`s even more straightforward when it comes to taking the blog aspects out of the system and running it purely as a means of managing content.
