Hi, I got such a great response  when I asked to have my site critiqued, I thought I would ask again for help.

I have made changes to my home page from your suggestions, and want to create an external css file to update "all" my pages.

After several attempts, I am still stumped. I would like to get my header logo, navigation bar, and footer on all pages.

I am not sure about the coding and where to place it all.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on StartUpNation, and look forward to your help.

Thanks, Linda

The kind of file you want to set up is not CSS, but rather a server-side include. These are quite simple to set up, but you`ll need to find out what scripting languages your hosting account supports so you can call the include files properly.

Here`s a fairly good beginner`s tutorial: http://www.smartwebby.com/web_site_design/server_side_includes.asp

Hiya Linda,

It looks like you changed the name of index.html to indexjb.html. Was this on purpose? When someone goes to your base url they are seeing a listing of all the files on your web server. You should, at the very least, create an .htaccess file which will block them access from these files (if indeed it was on purpose).

Cheers,

Chris
