Don`t know if this would happen to be timely for anybody, but I just visited my hosting service (www.dreamhost.com) to change a couple settings, and I noticed that they`re offering a pretty hefty discount for hosting plans. $110 bucks off plans of a year or more.(It`s their birthday apparently.)

For those who don`t like math, that means a year of hosting is basically $10.

I`m no expert, so I can`t say if Dreamhost is the best ever host, but I`ve been pretty happy with them so far.

Just thought I`d let ya`all know.

I signed up for Dreamhost a couple of years ago on a similar birthday sale. Unfortunately, I`ve had lots of downtime and my sites haven`t been available for extended periods of time.

If you`re after a bargain, Dreamhost may be right for you. If it is critical that your site need high reliability and stability, I`d recommend you look elsewhere.

I would agre with Texadero. We had pursuethepassion.com on Dreamhost for a while because that`s who Brett started out with, but it went down without warning for an extended amount of time a few times. Eventually I just got sick of it and moved the whole thing to Hostgator ... the reliability of Dreamhost was seriously lacking, especially for a heavy-traffic site like PTP.
