Hi,

How would one download private messages to their home computer?

I`d like to keep a full, intact log of everything going into my new business, from initial concept onward, so that I don`t forget something meaningful three months down the road when I`m really busy (and the startupnation mailbox is full.)

I`m on an e-mail diet ... I`ve stopped using filters because it forces me to deal with things (and delete them) if I manually sort them. Next step is my SuN PM diet.

It`s all very GTD.

First of all how are you communicating with your customers? if its through chat just set your recorder to copy everything to a text file.

or use liveperson chat. It records all the conversation to a database..then you can log into your admin and view what was said

Great idea, but I was asking specifically about saving email messages from StartupNation to my computer at home.  It looks like cut and paste (actually trivial since I use linux) will be the solution until/unless they offer a button to provide a bulk squirt to home.

What`s wrong with cut and paste? I`ve gone through countless LCD panels, laboriously cutting out the section of the screen I`m interested in, and scrapbooking it into a beautiful, leather-bound journal I keep just for the purpose. Yes, it`s expensive, but then again, how often do we have correspondence we`d really like to keep and just....lose it? Computers are SO fickle, I`d rather buy a new monitor each week, than think back on what could have been.

you ... are ... scary   :-)

Actually your idea has merit.  Genuine hard-copy does wear out with the paper, but it`s easy to leaf through when the power goes out.
