Is there any notable Health Risks associated with plasma donation services?
I'm a university student and don't have a job at the moment, and to offset small expenses like Netflix and the occasional fast food I'm considering donating plasma at a nearby Biolife. Apparently the plasma goes to a good cause (I already donate blood to the Red Cross, but that's for free), and the money would be nice, but for some reason my mom is uncomfortable with the process. Rather than donating blood where you fill a bag and that's the end of it, your blood is put back in your body.
Is she being paranoid? Or is there really a good reason to skip donating plasma?
