Does your domain name have any impact on your rank?  Yes!  Including keywords in your domain name can substantially boost your rank.  Here`s a post outlining how to do it.

Id love to hear your thoughts on the topic.  But I can say I have tested it a few times and domain name SEO was enough to get first page rank for keywords included in the domain name with no other SEO tactics used.

Yes, it works!  I found including keywords in your domain name when possible aids in directing traffic.  I just used a Bing search to check out my wife`s website rankings.  And a pointed domain name had #2 rankings!

Owning a keyword rich domain name can be extremely beneficial for SEO.  However as a technique in itself I think its hard to measure as you wouldn`t just buy a domain name and not optimize the site and build some links to it.   But we have seen a few quick results from sites that had a keyword in the domain name.

Hope this helps.

Another benefit to keyword-targeted domain names appears in the area of domain age. Search engines give preference to older domains versus newer ones, giving aged domains a slight edge in organic search. If your domain is newer compared to your competitors, being location-specific and targeting keywords in your domain name can help decrease your disadvantage, because I've seen this type of domain do very well in listings, despite being much younger than its competitors.

For more on the value of domain age, check out the Pear blog.

It helps in increasing your rankings especially in Google. I've helped few sites with keywords on their domain name and glad they are visible now on the first page of Google.

domain age and keyword relevancy are two of the most important aspects of selecting one.  since all good ones appear to be taken, consider a long tail domain with dashes separating works (i.e. www.dubai-information-site.com).  search engines treat dashes like spaces
