I'm using a blog to eliminate the costs of web hosting and domain name.  I reconstructed the html code of the blog to make it appear as a webpage instead.  Is it worthwhile to purchase a domain name and redirect it to my blog to eliminate the 'blogspot' added onto the end of current blogsite address in my signature below. Would customer's care?

Hmm... not sure what you're asking? But here it goes... Web hosting is not expensive these days it will probably cost you around 4.99 for the cheapest package and a domain is around 10.00 bucks a year... so you're spending about $59.88 a year on web hosting  and the domain name for 10, for a woping $64.87a year... Not sure if you're starting a business or just testing water...

Secondly, I visited your web site and can I ask you something? Who in their right mind would offer businesses with free services? A free Logo? Give me a break! I'm assuming you must be a youngster living at home and, mom and dad got your tab...

Futhermore, why are you charging $25.00 dollars? Don't saturate the market this way... We already have a bunch of cowboys running around calling themselves companies online... These days it is so easy for someone to have a company... Register a domain name and Hosting and you're done... You're in business...

Not sure what you're doing, but don't play yourself like that... I saw your logo designs and Yeah I admit they're clean... Very artistic, so why offer them for free? Don't you value your time, and talents?

If that's the case, I can use you... at $25.00 bucks a pop, I can send you 3 logos right now as we speak... If you want to get exploited like that? sure, why not... I'll gladly give you $75.00 bucks and you'll probably be a happy camper... so this is what it would look like... I pay you $25.00 bucks for a logo and I turn around and make 30 times as much... so that would be 25 x 30 = 750.00 minus your 25.00 So there, I banked 725.00 and you did all the hard work... Get the picture? 725.00 x 3?... You really need to wake up... or there are people out there that will take you on your offer... I personally can't do that to you.. it was just an example...

Good luck on your business venture...

Thanks for your feedback Edgar! I purchased a domain and had it forwarded to my website blog. I changed my business concept and would love to hear your input. If you have some time take a look at the site again and let me know what you think :)

From a SEO's stand point if you can afford a domain name  then get, domain names are like real estate and tend to go up in value for example if you start getting leads through your website then you can instantly flip the domain also if the domain gains age and backlinks the domain has link value and webmasters would trade links with you or offer to buy your domain.

If you can't invest in the 10$ to register a domain and the $7 a month to host - You shouldn't be concerned with blogspot at the bottom of the page.

Glad you bought a domain!

Yes, you should purchase domain name for your blog to creat your own brand. Redirect to new domain is good idea and thus you wont loose any customer or ranking. Usually its difficult to rank blogspot.

The domain name of the site should represent the whole site ...

For eg. if the domain name is trucksforsales.net then the site should content all the details of trucks only and not other thing.

if the site domain is trucks but u visit the site there u will find all health related problem so it is not good at all...
