How do you do it?  How did you get started?  What sites do you use?

Focus on a topic that you are passionate about and search for affiliates in that area. You should use all the affiliates that you recommend or at the very least try them out. Write good and useful content then include reviews on related products that you use and recommend.

I know few people that do jobs online. But you need to be patient in doing online transactions. Some of them might be scams. But if your goal is to do it, just make sure you are aware of the whole operations itself. You can try it. Stick to your goal.

There's different ways of making money online.

What have I seen happen most is selling affiliate products - ebooks that others wrote and they give you a percentage for selling their product on your website.  You can find tons of products in almost every genre at clickbank.com.

Most people write blogposts/reviews and try to sell the products.

Another way is to take some of your life experiences and attempt to write your own ebook.

I used to think about selling actual products online through ebay type websites.  This usually takes much more physical effort/trips to the post office.  Type "wholesale merchandise" or "online wholesalers" into google to browse through products.

Let me know what your passions/expertise is in and I can give you some likely paths of how you may be able to make money online.

Send me a private message or follow me on twitter.

**Edited to say that a lot of people make a website and try to make advertising money through google adsense or some other service.  I think typical payments for these are $1-$15 for every thousand pageviews.  Higher the price for the more specific/niche of a website you run.  Google pays huge incentives if your visitors click on the ads often.

My primary income online comes from affiliate commissions generated on a handful of sites that I own. I got started online doing PPC(pay per click) but don't do much PPC anymore. These days most of my traffic comes free via search engine rankings, videos and backlinks.

I recently started advising others on their online or offline product launches. I am a student of the best in that business, Jeff Walker. I can see most of my future income will be from managing product launches.

yes definitely - i started while i still had a JOB and when other ventures ramped up i moved over to them full time.  i have 8 websites with different monetizing ideas.  they are: public ads, private placement ads, affiliate commissions, referral income, ebook sales....

i am often asked to help out and teach but i make so much from my ventures that my hourly rate would not be justified if someone was to pay for it. therefore, a new blog is in the works to teach/help people with very specific types of lifestyles who want a very specific thing....stay tuned

Set up a nice website and add some google adsense in it. Just start something you are very familiar with like photography and other hobbies. you can sell e books if you are a good writer. You can promote the site by bookmarking your site.

Hope this helps :)

I agree with the above post, and I just want to add something about Google Adsense. Google won't just approve anyone, you need to have a website with good content on it.

And just to be blunt, you won't be making a lot of money as soon as you start. You need to build up your website traffic and get repeat visitors in order to monetize your website.

What I've done to make money online is to start a blog (in my signature) where I give tips and advice on how to start and run a small business. With that I have targeted ads for my visitors, so they're more likely to click on them. This is one of the easier ways to make money online, but you have to work hard at creating content that users will read and make sure they come back for more.

If you're still looking for ideas or ways to make money online, you can visit my blog for more tips.
