Don`t forget cash (in small bills).  I live in a high hurricane area and when Charleston was hit years ago many people forgot to have cash.  Without power no one could use an atm and stores couldn`t really make change.  I heard stories of people paying $20 for a jug of water because they couldn`t get change.

Storms aren`t too bad around Chicago, but up north in Wisconsin, and of course out west in Iowa things are lookin` grim.
