Next week is National Small Business Week and I am working on a segment for the Grow Your Business Workshop (next Wednesday, April 23, 8:00-10:00, www.downrivercommfcu.com ), in which I would like to have a few business owners who have a unique story tell about how owning a business has made a difference in their lives and how it has helped them to:
- achieve specific dreams or goals.
- overcome difficulties.
- live a desired lifestyle.
The stories I am looking for should be compelling, motivational, and inspirational. We want to let people know how important small business is to our country, to our state, to the Downriver area, and in our own lives. The United States of America is the "Land of Opportunity" and we can make a difference in our community if we work hard and take responsibility for our own future.
