I happened to catch a Discovery Channel self-promo spot today on my way to the Weather Channel. Their new slogan is hands down one of the best I`ve ever seen, ever:


That`s their slogan! Fantastic! Bravo!

Part of the reason I hate advertising so much is because its always so freakin` negative... germs! burglars! wrinkles! you`re fat! you`re a horrible parent! you`ll never have sex again as long as you live until you buy this product! But Discovery Channel`s slogan reflects such a primal joy, I can`t help but think the folks there truly love what they`re doing. 


Yes it is! and so is Discovery Channel for picking such a positive marketing message. Seeing this totally made my day.

How refreshing! It`s good to see the appreciation of the world highlighted.
