In the coming months I plan on starting up my Digital Signage Company, my idea as has not been done before to the best of my knowledge (two years of research) and I am concerned about someone else capitalizing on it, can I grab intellectual property rights on this? If so, is there an easy way to do it, this is simply an idea; I would purchase the hardware and film for the network. Thanks!

You are probably looking at some type of patent. The best way to find out how to protect your intellectual property is to consult with a competent intellectual property attorney. Most will meet with you for an initial consultation for free.
