Cakes for Christmas! The Christmas holiday season is the primo time for cakes, lots and lots of cakes. There are all types of cakes that families consider a Christmas tradition, but pound cakes work for me.

Christmas cakes are just another reason for my sweet tooth to rule (some). Since I usually travel to meet my family during the holidays, it t is convenient to order cakes online and have them delivered to the family home for the holidays.

I prefer to cook more than I like to bake. I can bake, don't get me wrong, but I think most foodies (like me) prefer to do one more than the other. I sometimes like however, to provide something different when visiting friends and family during the holidays, and cakes are a favorite of mine. I have found a special place to obtain said cakes, and with little or no planning, the dessert issue is resolved. The annual cake delivery has become a tradition, and there is often something else special enclosed in the package, to enhance the Christmas cake gifting experience.

My family is large, and there can never be enough food. We cook for days, and everyone helps in the preparation of the holiday feast. Since there are so many of us, most of whom cook, not bake, we often have to do double-duty on desserts. With an online gift shop, I can have the cake (and whatever else) delivered, and still be able to concentrate on the special dishes I will prepare (one of which is a 25 lb. roast turkey; with rosemary and thyme....Yummy!). So make life easier, and order a Christmas cake this year!
