Have you considered that the reason you`re "running wild" is simply the exuberance of letting go of the concentrated focus you had in the SoftGenius business? What`s wrong with letting go, playing hookey, and being a drifter for awhile? It`s probably good for you.

But there`s that nagging problem of paying the bills, running out of savings, and the aspects of day-to-day life. As far as I`m concerned, the first and foremost question really comes down to what is it you want?

Here`s an exercise, found on the Abraham-Hicks material:

Write down what you want on a piece of paper. Make it a List. The only caveat is you can`t use the word "not" or any related terms such as "I don`t want," or things like that. Can`t use "do not," or "don`t," or I want to be "free of," or "not have."

Just simply write your thoughts initially, then go back and edit later. Change the language. So if you say, "I don`t want to run out of money," change it to what you DO want. For example, "I want enough money that I don`t have to worry about the bills all the time."  But what`s wrong with that? The "don`t have to worry."

So work it again: I want enough money to enjoy myself each day.

In some cases, it`s sufficient to write on paper: "I want to know what I want."

The idea of actually articulating OUTSIDE your head, either on paper or to some human bean, or even on a thread open to the public, gets "the boys downstairs" working, as Steven King says of the subconscious. If you keep attuned to your thought processes, you`ll begin to at least figure out how to write down what it is you "don`t" want. From there, we`re back to editing.

The list can be as long or short as you feel like it being. It isn`t work. It`s an exercise in just plain fun. If you had a magic lantern and three wishes, what would you wish for? That sort of thing....but written out. Until you actually use words (not the pictures of words in your head), you can`t "real-ize" them...making them into reality.

My 2-cents, anyways.... :-)

I would recommend selling softgenius.com if you can.  I dont know if the business is truely worth anything without you.  I am assuming it is in the black and not in the red.  If you decided this is an option you would like to explore feel free to contact me directly through SUN.

Bizups...What a marvelous resource you could be to so many people who are  looking for a business idea that will motivate them to start their own business!

I agree with CraigL, make your list out of what you really want, beginning with the things you know, like "I want to be happy"... the list doesn`t necessarily have to focus on concrete things, just so long as everything on it is "I want" and not "I don`t want". It has helped me to focus in on what I truly desire, and from that I have moved along to where I am now, and I continue moving forward into bigger and better experiences.

As for what to do with SoftGenius, no one can really tell you that... it all depends on that list you`re going to put together so you know what you want. :-) But... I was watching a video the other day that would do many entrepreneurs some good to watch, here: http://www.strategicprofits.com/everything/ .  While
the presenter has a product to sell, he makes some very good points for  entrepreneurs...it`s worth a watch at least, for those of us who are still feeling our way along. Your post reminded me of it, as you`re at the point where you have loads of ideas, but need someone else to do the work that bores you and made you feel burned out.

Or, as davenny has mentioned, you could sell SoftGenius and decide where to go from there. That`s where the list also comes in... what would give you the greatest pleasure to pursue? You`re really connected into your creativity, and that is some great stuff!

I put up my tear sheet tripod and wrote at top "What I Seek". Have not written anything else yet. The thing is I have done something similar before in writing down my goals. And yes I think there was some letting go of the total focus with SoftGenius, but the problem now is that these inventions and ideas keep flowing, each one taking precedence over the other.

Quentin,
From my own experience, when you`re going fast and furious with spiralling you can have two possible problems, not only one. Most people believe that`s a psychological problem. What fewer people understand is that it`s also a symptom of cortisol overload. You may want to have a saliva panel, testing your cortisol levels, then using something to reduce out that particular stressor. (I use Seriphos, and it`s fundamentally changed things.)

On the psychological side, I`d argue that if you`re continually coming up with new business ideas then not following through, it`s because you already DID that....with the SoftGenius.com business. You`ve been there, done that, so to speak, and your subconscious mind has had enough. That`s probably why you walked away with burnout, and your subconscious has no desire at all to repeat it.

To that end, if you buy into the concept of psychology and the existence of a `hidden` part of our mind, then you`re acting against your own self-interest, pushing yourself to once again repeat exactly what caused you harm in the first place. (I mean "harm" in the sense that it wasn`t pleasurable anymore.)

Instead of heading your tripod sheet with "What do I seek," change it to "What do I want." Then, as TonerDesign said, begin with the most "obvious" things. Too often, we tend to ignore those things that are so obvious they don`t have to be said...the "goes without saying" nonsense.

Do you want to be healthy? Do you want to be happy? Do you want to be rich? Do you want a chocolate cake and no ice cream? Just write it all down. You may prefer a computer where you can write more than what will fit on a tear-sheet. Or, you may want lots of paper. :-) If so, write THAT down too!

It`s the idea of getting the ball rolling. Again, even if you can only start by writing what you Don`t want, that`s at least a place where you can begin editing.

Ok, here is where my expertise can come in handy. (lack of that is) It took me a couple minutes to understand the use of the website. (or I really am brain dead)   I was expecting to click on a name and it open up to actual ideas of what to do, (I`m not quite at the computer savvy level yet) then GUESS WHAT? I had an EPIPHANY!!! whew....a company name that has been in my head for years but have yet to do anything with ........And? it`s available. Now, I have to do something with it. So, you did "spark" me, and I thank you.

As for your over zealous brain activity? I can hear the compassion in everyone`s responses to you, as I have it too. So if you don`t mind I will put my 2cents in...

You need some Serious Downtime. I mean meditation down time. I wouldn`t make another decision without it.

I have gone thru system overload, and then I heard the words, "BE STILL"....

I say no more unless you want me to.

Hang in there...

Hi.. I sent a reply to you privately but then thought.. what the heck... Ill air it all out  here!

Im the female version of you!  Do ya know.. Ive come up with logos and brands and ideas and budgets... for about.. oh, I dont know, a gazillion ideas?  All grand, but I know as I do em.. Ill never see em through.  So heres what Im wondering.. all these grand ideas.. couldnt they benefit someone?

So I checked out the BizUps site..  there should be money to be made by being able to present a sound business idea? complete it with a business plan that could be adapted to the client obviously.. but.. heck, if youre going to do the research, then by gosh.. put it out there!

So then.. when people like Candee are looking and wondering... you could be a resource?  Would people pay for this, I wonder?  A complete start up package of ideas?

Yvette
