Hi All,

I started a business providing Wordpress Websites bundled with Google Analytics and Adwords. The goal was to provide more than just a site, but the tools to start marketing it as one all inclusive solution. I have had several clients so far by just word of mouth. I'm ranking #1 locally for the term (07302 web design) but don't have much traffic yet.

My questions are:

1 - I see other competitors who have a terrible web presence charging a lot more and giving less. Should I increase my price for services now early on?

2 - Should I start to heavily advertise, or wait to build my SEO presence more?

Thanks!

Hi,

Viewing the site with IE8... the logo in the top left corner does not show up (broken link). The logo does appear viewing the site with FireFox.

The site is SLOW in IE8 and ok with FireFox.

Your header image files size is huge... 397 Kb! Which can cause your site to load slowly.

Your questions:

(1) Competitors and pricing - Pricing is a funny thing.. I'm sure there are people who charge more AND charge less. Your price should be right for you (your profit) and be sensative to the marketplace.

But, it sounds like you need traffic and pricing does not necessarily bring traffic. Word of mouth referrals are great... maybe start with those people. Do they have connections with others to whom they could recommend you?

(2) Advertise? First correct your web page issues. Also, your web site is more descriptive than compelling. Your content should lead the viewer to do something... call to action.

You should determine your target market, how best to reach them, then IF advertising the the best choice, do it. Consider all the various social networking that can be used especially if you have client referrals in social networks.

Thank you Roland. Very good ideas I've taken note of and implemented all but the Strange IE issue. Probably some CSS issue  since every other browser the logo is fine.

pretty site... as a designer, you're only 3 warnings away from validating... fix those closing tags!

i think you need the buy now tag that you have on the about page on your home page somewhere

I think a case studies page would really benefit you since you're saying you're the expert... prove it to me... show me a before and after ranking wise... i'd be more inclined to buy your product if i knew it worked

other than that though, nice.
