I'm the Editor/Community Manager for the social networking Q&A site, FunAdvice.com. While I'm not the one who designs the site, I am responsible for finding ways to make it more marketable.

FunAdvice isn't a new site - as a matter of fact, it launched in 2003.

Since then, we've gone through several "re-launches" as we try to find the best design for inviting new members. We currently have nearly a quarter million members, but a fraction of those are regular members who participate daily.

What we're looking for are ideas to help drive in new members, and keep them coming back.

So, based on that, what fresh and exciting things do you think we can add, or what do we need to change to keep people engaged?

Thanks in advance for your critiques!

Well, since your scope of advice is unlimited, how about using pay per click advertising bidding for 1 cent words. In other words, you could bid for searches where there is no competition whatsoever, and only bid cents to appear in the results page ad area.

We offer $100 credit with google ads. You open the account with google, and manage your ads through google. Basically, we are just giving these away. Send us a PM or drop by our website and we'll email you a code for the credit (You must be new to google ads).
