Hello all, please take a look at the site first before you read my explanation. I really want to attempt to remove any cognitive biases of knowing what I'm presenting in advance.
The scenario: pretend that you are engaged and you are going to work on your wedding invitations.
Here is the site, please look at it without reading any further:
http://www.yourfinestwedding.com
Did you look at? OK, thank you.
Questions:
1) Was it clear what I'm selling within the first few seconds?
2) Is my value proposition clear?
The site is not complete, but in short, I'm trying to sell an easy way for a person (typically a woman) who is engaged and is thinking about writing out her own wedding labels or printing them out. This woman would have a spreadsheet of messy addresses and names of her invites to her wedding.
The value proposition:
Save time by uploading your spreadsheet to our service. We'll standardize and correct your addresses and mail you the printed labels within a few days.
At this point in time, my only goal is to get people to click on the big green button and enter in their information so that I can validate that the idea is sound.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for your time.
