Best thing to do is to a company that specializes in both web and graphic design. Check into Fluid Studio in the Salt Lake City area. They have multiple designers offering a wide range of design options as well as services ranging from SEO to help boost your sites online presence, to total redesign and branding. Check out their work here: http://www.fluid-studio.net

I provide free website design, maintenance, editing, ecommerce and anything else. I will even maintain and update your site for free, for life. My only condition is that you host on my webhost (or move to my webhost) Hosting is $15/month for a complete worry free solution.

Have you found out the difference now? I'm also starting in this web industry and the very basic thing to do is to learn new things :)

I would definitely recommend hiring a graphic designer they will make your site appeal to the end user, which will likely cause them to stay on the page longer. I think graphic designers are essential in setting up a website.

I think A Web designer`s skills focus more toward the layout, graphics and images, and the look-and-feel of the site. They would usually have some sort of graphics design in their background, and an understanding of art and aesthestics. :)
