I attended the seminar (finally).   The webinar was not my cup of tea as I prefer on-demand as well.  Nonetheless Ignite appears to be a useful tool~ however, they mentioned on the webinar 25% off the product for a reduced total of $300.00.  Are not SuN members supposed to get a copy of this for FREE?    If so..... how do I get my free copy so I may create content?

To clear up a few issues.

Yes, SUN members do receive a free copy, provided that they attended one of our webinars, ending with today`s session.  If you did attend the webinar, please email me at jholth@scate.com, and I`ll arrange for your copy after verifiying attendence and membership in SUN.

There were others on the webinar that were not SUN members, so the discount code was intended for them.

With regards to an on-demand demonstration, we most definitely have one online.  Its right on the Ignite page on our website, www.scate.com.  Navigate to the Ignite page, and on the right side, you will see links such as "show me a demo" and "quick start tutorial."  They were created in Ignite of course.

The reason SUN members were asked to attend a webinar to receive a free copy was so that we could have a chance to deliver our message to you fully in person.  So the deal was we give you free software, hopefully you use it, and spread the word.

Thanks to all that participated, and we sincerely appreciate your time.  I`m sure that your project will be successful!

Sun members do get the product for Free up through Feb 8th, although Jeff Holth from Scate had other callers on the webinar that are not SUN members so it would not have been appropriate for him to mention the special deal that was put together just for SUN.  Some of the other individuals on the call were represented by other corporations or resellers that work off the list price of $399 dollars.

Cheers!

And one more thing...

Those of you that missed the opportunity to receive a free full copy can still obtain a free 30 day trial copy at scate.com.   Anyone can do this at any time with no obligation whatsoever.

Additionally, the webinars run every Thursday at 1 PM eastern, and will continue indefinitely, so you can still attend the free if you are interested.

thanks, all!    I remembered the instructions were probably back on one of the first 3 pages.

I have now emailed my contact info to JHolth.

Thank you very much, Mr. Holth and Mike Nunnery, for making this available to community members.

I want to thank Jeff Holt again for providing the opportunity for SUN members to acquire this fantastic piece of software.  Opps...  It appears my one complaint - no on demand presentation was in error.  Somehow I knew deep down that Scate would be using their own product.

To RexieDexie:  It`s a technical world .... After viewing the demo of your "business", I`m certain that the Ignite2000 software would be of no value to you.  I wish you luck in winning the Lotto.

To the other SUN members that had a chance to recieve a free copy of the software.  I will be putting together an LLC of my own that will be utilizing this software to fill a very real need by many businesses.  For those businesses that have the need for what this software can do and have the time and inclination to master this simple tool, $399 is cheap and Scate Technologies will do well marketing it to them.  For those businesses that don`t have the motivation to learn new technologies there is a niche market for content creators.

I know the amount of time it takes to create tutorials using Flash, based on that knowledge I believe that it would not be unreasonable to gross $1,000 a day building spec turtorials for every "content creator" on the payroll given a robust marketing plan and a quality sales team.  My son who spent years learning complex audio recording software like Cubase, Sonic Foundry, Pro Tools just to name a few got very excited about the potential to easily create tutorials for these types of products that could be sold at nominal prices over and over again.

I learned one thing from Bill Gates.... code it once sell it a million times, but it has to have value to the buyer and then the cost becomes secondary to the value of service provided.  This software gives us the opportunity to do just that without the hassles of coding.  Just create the content quickly and easily and sell it over and over again.

To Scate Technologies:  I will be happy to provide you with demonstration tutorials once we get up and rolling.  One of the best sales tools is others happily using your product.

I`ll see you in the Market Place SOON!

Pokerman,

I`ve enjoyed your posts. I`ve gone through SCATE Ignite training too and am impressed with it`s capabilities. Your comments (below) are intriguing. I know there are thousands of software apps that need tutorials, but will people pay for them or wouldn`t they just expect the software provider to provide them for free? After a software provider sells the product, many of them could care less about paying someone to develop a separate tutorial on how to use it (unfortuneately).

I`m with you on the potential, but could you be more specific on the types of uses for this tool that you refer too that you think would pay a "$1000 a day building spec tutorials for every "content creator" on the payroll given a robust markleting plan and a quality sales team"?   Thanks.
