It can be difficult to find someone but it isn`t impossible.  Put out the feelers and you`ll get responses.

And I don`t know enough about the whole advertising end of it so I cannot give estimates.  From what I understand, there are too many variables anyway when it comes to online advertising.

Just to inform you.  This is really something big that you`re heading into.

A CMS is not going to give you what you`re looking for.  And neither will a forum.

You`re going to have to look long and hard to find one, not even one that`ll fit your needs, just finding one!


Hey,

I`m a bit late with this response, but if you are still in the planning stages, a CMS can be used to recreate the functionality of Myspace or Friendster.  I`m working on a couple of social networking sites at the moment using Drupal as the backend.
