I have an idea that entails combining 2 existing products to make a tool to do a different job from either of the 2 components. How do I go about putting the tool into production?

Go to a patent attorney and ask im to reserch if you are not in conflic with the other product and if by is experience to give you a reserch if there is a possibility of  obtened a patent utility .

For sure he whant garanty you gone obtened but if the anwser is positive go for it.

You may be able to get a patent on a combination of two existing products in the United States.  But you must be careful not to infringe the patent of another if and when you start to sell your new invention.  To do either analysis is expensive but may be worthwhile.

Hi LordEmsworth good because I anser the question but that`s what I tought.

Good to have the right nolege person to talk I do some error of spelling because I am french from Quebec Canada but I have a patent U.S.6,986,186 and that`s why I go here to lurn all the way it work in United States because it with be the best place for my invention to startup .

One more question I am at the moment trying to make my invention popular and to find angel investor to help me to do the expertise prototype because the cost of the reserch ingeneer cost a lot do you no if there is a compagny that have the nolege acceptance from your department because after you paye everythink and it`s not done well I loose or spend money in double.

my machine is made to wash window exterior of building to eliminate the risque of accident to washer window in scaffolding.

MY MACHINE CAN BE BUILD ELECTRIQUE OR SOLAR WHIT ALLUMINIUM AND PLASTIC.

Congratulations on obtaining your US Patent.  I do know an engineering company that can make you a prototype.  They are in Pasadena, CA.  They are not cheap but they do a good job.  C`est difficile pour moi de comprendre votre Anglais.  Je puis comprendre Francais.  S` il vous plait, ecrivez dans Francais.

Merci beaucoup je suis très comptent de savoir qu`il y a une Compagnie qui est reconue par votre département merci encore .J`ai été sur votre site internet pour me renseigné des loi parceque sa fait peur de se faire copier et même si on ne reste confidentiel sur le produit il faut rendre notre produit populaire pour pouvoir avoir un bon startup et de trouver les bon investisseur se n`est pas facile de les trouver en restant confidentiel.

I suggest you make sure your design is right before you proceed to prototype of product manufacturing considerations.  The design is where most products survive, prosper or fail.
