Our neighbor started with 1 coffee kiosk in 1 hospital.  They now own 3 kiosks in 3 different hospitals and 1 hospital is planning to build a coffee shop area for them for a permanent facility.  It is so doable.  A super idea for you.  People are used to paying $3-$5 for a cup of coffee nowadays and doctors/nurses especially need coffee and have the money to pay for good java.

The general coffee shop market is saturated but your cart going to locations with lots of people where they will buy from you for convienence is a great idea.  Minimize the amount you initially spend on the cart to minimize your risk.

Hi Guy,

Stan has given you the right direction not only as a start-up, but as a way to get your name and the quality of your product out into the community. I go to a lot of local events and I don`t ever remember seeing a gourmet coffee stand. With a selection of hot & cold drinks at a reasonable price, you have yourself a terrific concept. Try events like local pet events that happen every weekend in local area parks. Space is cheap and hundreds of people show up to show off their dogs etc. Call the local SBA office, SCORE and the Chamber of Commerce to get their in-put and list of events that might work for you. Also contact the Parks & Recreation...They have extensive lists of events that you might want to attend.
