Help:

We are an Investigative Firm and everyone either spells our name wrong or does not remember who we are or what we are called. The local College is helping with our business in marketing and growth.  They recommended that we change our name to something simple like how IHOP has there name . We all know what that is. I was thinking something like Gumshoe Investigations or PIs like us.  You get the just.... Help I have been brain storming for awhile. I will take a poll later and let you know how I did.  Thanks for your help

How on earth do they spell your name?

And where do they spell your name wrong? I mean, why does it matter ... what`s the application of it?

What`s the name of your current business? Who keeps mis-spelling it? Are you registered with the County Clerk? Do you have a DBA under that business?

It might be more costly to change the name of your business, than to put more marketing into your name.
I think you need to make people aware, of your business name (branding)..

The name of my business is Investigative Professional Services. I want to keep name but make it shorter or have a website with just IPS.com; buts its taken. I really want to do this. Shorter tag line.

The name is perfect for your business... I would suggest:   invproservices.com "the name is not taken"
how does that sound? What you can also do is have IPS on the Logo... What about adding a Slogan... that would help people remember your Business..
