What companies are good that offer auto responders? How easy is it to add an auto responder to a "pre-canned" website? You`re talking to a semi-illiterate computer person

I use intellicontact (which is basically a permission based ezine company). See link at end. It has both the autoresponder and the survey features included in the monthly pricing which starts at $10 a month for 500 subscribers.I used to use aweber which is one of the bigger autoresponder companies, but the problem that I ran into is that it was more expensive to have to pay for their service and trying to get it to work in conjunction with the ezine that I was using at the time. So it was just easier to get it all in one. From the ezine set up page you can create the `link` to build the sign up box with no web programming experience necessary (you can use it on any type of website).
How I use the autoresponder feature on some of my websites is basically I write articles and submit to directories, which people click on the link in the article resource box to get to the site, which then prompts then to sign up to get a free `special report` delivered to their mailbox immediately. Dependent on which one of my ezine `group` lists they sign up for the autoresponder sends them a thank you message and sends their free special reports. On others I have used it for things like `tips and tricks` and that has also worked well. You know that you can also pre-schedule them so maybe if you have an ecommerce site and you sell a product, when a product is ordered you can send the 2-2-2 messages (2 days, orders coming or did it arrive ok); 2 weeks, hope everything is working out and btw here is a list of some of the other stuff we sell and 2 months, thanks for your recent purchase, hope you found your product valuable and here is 10% off your next order cause we want you to do business with us again. You can also do the survey at the 2 week period as well because you always want customers to have a way to give `reverse` feedback while it is fresh on their mind adn they are happy (so don`t forget to add a place where they can include a testimonial in the survey).
