I`m concerned about this increasing reference to exercise. I have it on good authority, that exercise, will, in fact, kill you. I read this on the Internet, so it`s true. If you go back to the early 1800s, you`ll  find that those people had to do a lot of exercise. But, looking at them today, we see they`re every one of them....dead. Not a good sign!

I tend to really try for 8 hours, but often only get 7 or 6. Part of it is my own fault. Often, I`ll get to reading something really interesting, and I just can`t put the book or article down. I glance occasionally at the clock as the minutes tick by, but being the information junkie that I am, I just keep reading. Finally, I wear myself out by trying to speed read faster and faster. My eyes start to feel fatigued and I barely hit the pillow before I`m asleep.

On the weekends, it`s not uncommon for me to get 8 or 9 (sometimes even 10) hours of sleep. I consider it make-up for the weeknights :-)

I don`t drink caffeine but I`ve been tempted. Getting through those mornings when I`ve been up late reading is killer! (for example, this morning! *L*)

Before the light bulb... the average hours of sleep a person would get was 8-10 hours (according to the History Channel). Why did someone invent the light bulb?

Oh yeah... I remember. To help my herbs grow on the kitchen counter under this fancy lighting contraption.

The light bulb was invented to cause ideas. Prior to the invention, nobody had ideas about anything. In fact, the lightbulb was brought forth upon our world to create ideas in people`s heads. Hence the term, "bright idea."

Unfortunately, we can have only one or the other: sleep, or ideas. Some people confuse "dreams" with ideas, but they`re not as evolved.

Additional evidence of the truth to what I`m saying is that people with many ideas, sleep very little. People with few ideas sleep a lot. Therefore, if you have enough ideas, you`ll never sleep, but if you have zero ideas, you`re in a coma. And, in fact, if you study the figures, you`ll see this is all true.
