I try to sleep in but the wife does a good job of stopping that.

My perfect sleep number is 7 1/2...

I can function on less and often do, but if I don`t set an alarm, my natural alarm wakes me up at 7 1/2 hours within about 10 minutes in either direction and I`m totally refreshed...

I`m a coffee addict since I was 13 or, I love it strong, and I really need to have many cup of this fuel to make is through the day.

I`m a coffee addict and I`ve do not exercise since at least 15 years, I`m also addicted to junk food

I had a health check up last week, my LDL (bad cholesterol) is going up, my doc told me that I should be exercising and eating more healthy food (what can I say I`m a software engineer eating burgers, pizzas, sweets and all sort of other niceties throughout the day, I love my cheese too)

These day I really feel tired without really doing much, I`m just 36 but I`ve got the feeling that all the energy of my early 20`s is gone  Back then I would easily be awake 48 hours straight without looking like a zombie ...

This is no longer possible ... I did try to exercise but as soon as I start running I feel like I`m going to have a heart attack or something, I can`t simply breath anymore.

I really need to so something about this, before a heart stroke hit me

Have you got any tips & advises for getting into sports & exercises after such a long break ...

My wife is having a go at me telling me that I`m really going out of shape

Todd : I`m impressed (really), I guess you do exercise on a regular basis ? how often and what do you do ? I guess that I`m passionate but I`ve got the feeling that my body lacks the energy to follow my brai ...Sometimes even with 8 good hours when I wake up I feel like I`ve been beaten during my sleep ...

I`m in my early 20`s so I definitely should probably still be a late sleeper, but I`m also an entrepreneur so I have to make some sacrifices. I get the sleep when I can but there have been times when I`ve run on 4-6 hours of sleep for 2 weeks at a time

You definitely do get used to it, but I always need to catch up for a night or 2 at some point or I`ll start to get sick.

Well, be of good cheer. Ask any old person, like someone in their 70s, and they`ll tell you they need little sleep...maybe a few hours a night, or they nap periodically. So the solution, as famous other people have said, is to live life backwards. Start a business when you`re 75, and you`ll have more hours to work on it each day. :-)

Tarek

get a skipping rope - great exercise - you can start with just a few minutes.

Also there is an exercise routine which takes 7 minutes a day - you can get the book from Amazon (UK) (couldn`t see it on Amazon.com)

I can get by on six hours of sleep - but function better with about seven.  I do take a 20 minute "power nap" almost every afternoon.

Tarek, join the club! We need to dump our system restore archive and defrag our brains. Break out of the loop and goto end.

Start slowly. Repeat start slowly. If you try to start exercising by running, yes you will feel like you are having a heart attack. Start by walking, increase your distance, then move up to brisk walking, longer duration, then move to jogging, running, then hip hop abs. It also helps to do curls with your battery backup UPS.

Also cut back slowly on the caffine, or else you`ll get massive headaches. Your body is addicted to it right now, and that is why you need so much to make it through the day.

You can function on 5 hours of sleep, but you have to do it smartly.

My sleep requirement for optimum performance is a minimum of 7 hours.  I have certainly managed to get through a day with less than that but overall I don`t perform well.  Everyone`s body requires the much needed break that sleep provides.  Your body needs time to restore itself.  Your brain needs time to decompress as well.  Treat your body right and it will perform right for you.

It is very important to avoid the tv, internet and very thought provoking reading just before bedtime.  These types of things will only stimulate your mind to more thinking and make falling asleep more difficult.  Some light and easy jazz and some candlelight usually helps to ease me into a good night of sleep.

Dont`t skip out on getting your zzzzzs.
