1. The goal of my website is to drive potential clients and customers to fill out the survey and then we personally contact these respondents via phone or email to convert them to paying clients.

2. About the design I used a template from my hosting company. But I did design the content myself.

Hi Carl
I like your idea and would like to comment on the look of your site
The homepage is very to-the-point. It gives excellent details about your business without any distractions
I`d think a bit about an eye candy..  a quote or a short story about an existing client you`ve helped.. something to get the client better motivated to contact you

Furthermore, I`d suggest adding a colored `Contact Us` or `Sign in` or any other way of converting visitors into clients in the homepage. The easier you make it on them to get in, the more they`ll be likley to

Hope the business take off, and the best of luck

Jmes

Carl;
the website seems very professional. when I started to read the content I noticed you seem to have the same mental block as me. you don`t put an "R" on you"r" your`s. Your insurance company wants to fully restore you property but can only do so if you can provide proof of what you own. I noticed it on another page (I only looked at two), you might check that.
Just a comment about your business, back in the 80`s i built a house my first build, about 18 months after we moved in a toster cord left plugged in failed and set a birthday cake box on fire, burned the house almost to the ground. at the time we had many antiques and collections which were lost, because we didn`t have an pre event, inventory we lost out on much of the compensation. that said you have a very usefull business with huge value to the customer potential.

Carl, very cool business.  Maybe after you nail it down you can franchise it?

Is there a stat that shows the delta between what people remember vs. what they really had, so you can claim that on your front page as a sort of value statement?

Great business concept.

I think putting a contact form or phone number right on the main page would be good.  In fact, a contact form with the cursor already flashing in the first box would be better.

Other than that, the company name at the top could use something to make it stand out a bit better... (darker color or shadow perhaps...)

Again, I really like it.
Best Regards,
Charlie

Good site. I think it could be less "wide," but I got the idea immediately, clicked the natural link, and ended up at the survey.

One thought would be to have a bit of an interactive "test" quiz at the destination result for your link...the one in the last sentence: "This is where a bit of planning by contacting...."

What I`m thinking would be a radio-button "list." Your content could be something like, "Off the top of your head, for which of the following items can you locate a receipt in the next 10 minutes?" Then have a list of common valuables.

Below the list (of maybe only 10 or so things) you`d have a "continue." And THAT would bring you to the customer information page. Just something to get the visitor involved, y`know?

I would really like to thank everyone for taking the time to check out my website.

Jmes: Ok, I can see about some eye candy. I`ll see what I can do.

Stan: Thanks for catching my typo...You look and look but don`t really see it until it`s pointed out. Hopefully now I have corrected them all.

Eric: Thanks, but if franchising is the business` future. It`s very distant. I have asked around about the stat between what people remember and what they actually had. But, most adjusters don`t want to give up their secrets of deduction.  I really have tried to get this number to no avail. It`s there but no one wants to say.

Charlie: I have been working on a replacement for that banner. Thanks.

Craig: Thanks for the suggestion. I should be implementing this in the next day or two. you have me thinking now. Maybe adding a countdown clock starting from 10 minutes.  Either having them press a tart button or having the clock automatically start when the page comes up.

Everyone thank you again for taking the time to view my website and for all of the suggestions.
