Nothing will work better than you calling them up to get their info right then and there and adding it yourself.

 

IT serves a dual purpose - you get your listing straight away (who's going to say no - dont market my business for me) and 2 - you start to build a relationship with that person and business.  Don't underestimate that value.

You're trying to use a Push marketing strategy too much.

I would recommend a Pull marketing strategy.

You want them to be in a position where they say "I would'nt mind having my business listed on that site"

Therefore, start actively promoting your website, when they see its being promoted and they see their competitors names on it they might have a change in enthusiasm levels when it comes to signing up.
