Hello, this is my very first post. Read a few post and also learned a lot.

I want to start an online electronic store. I am interested in buying offlease laptops, cellphones. Buy customer returns from electronic stores like Best buy and Circuit city. There is evidence these types of services exist because ebay is flooded with small business who sells these products.

I have been asking around and doing my research but I cannot find a single person to sell me items for wholesale price.

If you guys can point me in the right direction, it will be helpful. Thank you

Have a great day :)

I honestly do not have an answer for your problem. I right now buy and sell used video games and systems from people. If I could find a way to get them at whole sale or get deals on refurbished systems I think I could triple revenue. If anyone does find this please let us know!

There are places like surplus.net but they mark up the price. Try that place. You might be able to get your hands on 20 - 30 xbox360s and such at a time. You might make a few dollars per system.  I want to buy truck loads of electronics and true wholesale. Buy a whole truck load for 30thousand if I can make a profit of 5- 7thousand dollars. Something like that I would be really interested in.

Only way to get bottom prices is to go directly to the source. The competition if fierce for product but it can be done. Do alot of homework first because you WILL get burnt if you buy wrong. A site I found that may be helpful is called http://www.barginbargains.com for sourcing. Good luck

Buying at wholesale price is easy. Buying below wholesale should be your strategy.

Can you guys give me a tip for bargaining with wholesalers. One thing I always hear is, "this is already at wholesale price, you cant buy cheaper than wholesale" I only talked to middle man who is most likely doubling his money. Any input is great. Thanks for the tips Tymacmain and Innocator7

The ABC of business is the more you buy, the lower the price.  The guy who sells wholesale is a distributor, who buys from factory.

So the question is whether you have enough money to buy from factories.  But before that, you have to all the infrastructure to move the goods.

What business background do you have? BS in business? MBA? or GED?

I`ll tell you a story:

At a class reunion a PhD learned about the financial success of one of his mediocre classmates Tom.  So he asked Tom how he did it.  Tom`s answer: "Oh it`s very simple.  I buy those widgets at $15, mark them up 15%, and sell them for $30."

I was majoring in Finance and I have 2 more semesters. I am 22. I am putting that on hold because it is really hard to find a job so I am looking to start a business this year.  I love the story btw :)

The middle man I talk to does not buy it from factory but they have connections from corporations that sell them bulk load of their off lease electronics. Like laptops n blackberry cellphones.

I have no idea where to even start looking to buy off lease directly from corporations

I run into the same problems as you trying to find a wholesaler that offers fair prices.

Its tough to find good wholesalers. I am seeming to find people who are not really looking to sell at wholesale prices. Some guy wanted to sell me 20 dell d600`s for 150 and they are actually selling on ebay for 160. lol. Its not much of a business.

Are you any good at fixing up broken electronics? I made good money buying broken xbox 360`s with the 3 red ring problem fixed it sold it online. You can look around your area and buy from random people. I bought 10 from a guy for 40 bucks a piece fixed it up and sold them for 120 a piece. 80 dollars an xbox360 profit is not bad for 5 hours of work

I also warned everyone about the problem but as long as it worked they seem to be happy to buy. Maybe because its holiday season and they want toys. who knows.
