I believe that you need to look at your numbers and the prices of liquor license in SoCal...I just got off a 1 1/2 confrence call with a guy in SoCal and he is opening a place there....
Are you looking more for a bar and grill or restaurant and lounge? can you be a little more specific.....if you are buying a bar in Socal for $200K to $300K you need to look at what you are buying real hard......as you are buying the licencing and a lease....not a business......

Well my advice would be to go for lease but make sure that it does not exceed for more than two years as this will give you time to think off its prospects and then decide the future of this business and the profit you are going to earn.

Personally, I like the bar business. I`ve seen some bars go out of business but usually because they relied on a single big employer for customers and the employer moves or closes down.

I am trying to buy an existing bar in Austin, TX downtown. Can any one of you please provide a list of things to take care before buying an existing bar.

Collect information about business worth and goodwill then decide what you should do now?

It’s a good opportunity, if you are buying an existing bar but at first you should check that this bar contain all facilities according to today’s generation or not.

Well, if you've seen this existing bar doing good money then why not?

There's always an advantage and disadvantage for everything.

Check these things and see if they'll help you in the future.

There are still a lot of people that go for social interaction and a good time.
