How would I be able to apply a script (such as this: http://www.buymyscripts.net/2/Baby_names_script_and_content.html ) to my website?  Where would I have to put it?  I'm not too techy on the whole backend of website building.  I am not HTML savvy either, as I usually need a converter.  But I'm willing to figure this out so my parenting site can be just as competitive as others out there.

It's a JavaScript, but I haven't done much with Java.  Your website designer should have no problem adding it to your site.  It is probably some JS code that goes into your HTML file, plus a flat database of names.  Just guessing here.

Thanks, but I am the website designer.  I wasn't sure where it needed to be uploaded when logged into cpanel.

I am not at all familiar with Booyah, but there is likely a component of the script that goes between the <head> tags and another in the <body>.  There's also likely a text file that needs to be sent to the website.

You'll have to ask someone familiar with Booyah or ask their support people where to put the script parts.

It will probably be several files that you'll upload to your sites' main directory. I'm guessing that you'll need to rework these files so that they match the rest of your sites look and layout.

Hey babykottage,

Most of scripts come with runme page or file which you need to access and it will automatically install the required sql db and files needed for the application. Before that you might have to copy all script files which you buy it. According to this particular script, it looks like you might have to copy files and may be run some db scripts to set up the db or may be they have install.php file which does it for you.

Send message. Let me know if you need help
