I just came across this contest announcement on businessweek.com. If you know a female who was on the "CEO track" as they call it, but left to start their own company, they are interested in learning about that person.

http://www.businessweek.com/smallbiz/women.htm

Nominations are open until March 1.

If you nominate someone who is then profiled after reading this, please let us know.

I have no connection with Business Week or businessweek.com, but I`ve always enjoyed reading the magazine and website.

What do you think of this idea? I think this is a great way for business owners to get good PR and I look forward to reading the stories of women entrepreneurs.

All the best,

Andrew Darlow

That sounds like a good opportunity. I wonder if it counts that I worked as a Realtor before this? That`s not exactly the CEO track though.

I also wonder how "CEO Track" is defined. I suppose anyone with a VP title or a managerial/leadership position in a company could be on the track. I suppose a successful salesperson/marketing person could also be on the track.

I hope some Startup Nation folks make some nominations or are nominated.

All the best,

Andrew
