I need to have my Business Plan done in few weeks. I have none so far. I need to outsource it. I heard about Elance. Did anybody used it for business plans? What is your feedback? Any provider you would recommend?

Thank you.

Another question, how much do you think I should spend for the whole Business Plan?

From your post, I assume that your need for a plan relates to acquiring capital. If so, then will this plan be to support loan request?

The amount you will need to invest in getting help with your plan will vary. Some key factors are:

  1. How much information you have available.
  2. How much "research" will be required.
  3. Your intended purpose for the plan
  4. Your level of involvement
  5. The complexity of the business situation

That`s great.

I`d be sure that anyone you "hire" has experience in developing the type of plan you need.

Make certain that you as the business owner gives valuable input. It will be important to have you as part of the plan. Have you tried to work on it yourself or hired someone locally to actually sit down with you to build it out?

Why would you want to use a contractor for business plan? Do you want the contractor to make up numbers?

If not, the contractor will come back to you and ask detailed questions, which you will write detailed answers....at the end of the day, you will find out that you could have spent the time to write the whole business plan yourself, instead of communicating back and forth with the contractor about the business details.

You should be the one who understand your own business, and you should be the one writting the business plan.
