After reading a report, I learned that all business credit cards do not report to the major business bureaus. Does anyone have a list of business credit cards that report to the major bureaus and do not require your social security number? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and God Bless!

In my experience, they all demand your SSN, hoever some do not report to the three bureau. For example my business card with Amazon.com through Chase required my SSN, but it is not on any of my personal credit files.

Chase do report to D&B. Staples Cards, 76 Gas Cards etc are good ways of building actual business credit as they report to D&B, but make sure your D&B file is set up properly.

As with all things due diligence is required ans you should ask a lot of questions before forking over your SSN.

Edit to say, there`s a great thread on building business credit here:

if that`s what you were looking for. Great post by "pagejames" on the 1st page.

Thanks for the great information on building credit.  As I`ve said before I`m getting ready to launch my business and I`m gathering as much information before I take the leap.  Credit card usage was an issue I wanted to address before I actually started.

From my experience, any real credit card with a line of credit will require a SSN. Although hardly a "business credit card," American Express gold and platinum cards do not report to credit bureaus. They check credit once, and that`s it.

Cards found at Staples and Office Depot are usually not credit cards, but more like frequent shopping cards w/ points.

I believe they are both Citibank cards. You should leave time between applications to cards that are backed by the same bank.

entreplanet,
Staples or Office Depot are Store purchasing cards backed/issued by Citi Bank. They both report to DnB and Experian, from my experience.

I used B2B credit to establish by business credit. with them i received a few accounts during the duration of the process including Staples, Office Depot, Dell, Amazon.com and others. The work closely with business credit. Only solution i would suggest to them is to be more efficient with communication. Other than that they provided a great service.
Hopefully this can help someone.

I have used AMEX in the past because they don`t do a lot of personal searches.  The problem is the limited locations that they are accepted.

Then once you build a balance sheet you can go to the other brands,
