StartupNation is proud of our military service men & women. Committing their lives to the preservation of our great country so that we all may prosper and start up a business is worthy of great praise.

As military service members prepare to leave the military and enter into the civilian workforce, many are taking the training, education and "achievement of excellence" ideals and planning to start up their own business.

We say ... Fantastic!

Use this StartupNation forum category to share ideas and to motivate one another. Welcome to the next exciting life challenge: owning your own business!

I would like to extend my funding services to those servicemen and servicewomen who have recently transitioned to the civilian workplace and have a dream to become an entrepreneur. Getting funding for your project or business idea without some venture capitalist taking over control of your idea and fledgling business is a challenge. My company, Synchronized Organizational Solutions, can review your idea and funding request and place you in contact with potential sources of start-up, "angel" funding. I charge nothing for this service because, as a recently retired U.S. Army Reserves JAG officer, I value the service you have recently provided to securing our country and would feel honored to be of whatever service I can. No guarantees...but at least you will have an experienced consultant willing to take a first look.

Hi David,

I`m trying to get my photography business activated.  Sale photos that I`ve taken.  Currently in debt, after just getting married on July 21.  My wife and I were talking today, about getting a $2,000 loan to put all debts into one basket.  Is there anything you know that could help?

Thanks Rick

Kaplan,  is your service offer good only for recently released vets or all veterans? I had the good fortune to serve during peacetime (mid-90`s) and I`m finding that, more often than not, veteran focused offers usually extend to Iraq and Afghanistan war vets, not those who served between the two Gulf Wars. If your offer extends to non-Iraq War vets, I`d love to get in touch and talk about SOS.

Hey Devil Dog!

You are all over the place on SUN! Nice job getting this miliary forum up! I
wish you the best of luck in getting your Military Entrepreneur Conference
off the ground. Keep plugging away. I just launched a network of 119
websites and throughout the entire adruous process, all I could hear in my
head was the words of my Drill Intructors while climbing Mount
Mother......"Keep your head down and keep putting one foot in front of the
other and you will get to the top."

If there is anything I can help you with, just bark.

Yes, the ol` Mount... don`t miss it at all. Makes me miss Camp Pendleton already.  Thanks for the little push... I need it sometimes.

Thanks SUN for creating this forum. As a service-disabled veteran business owner, I am particularly interested in learning from, working with, and helping other veteran business owners.
