Since I really need them myself, I will not donate my organs to your 501(c)3, but congratulations on your new status!  Big job well done!

After months and months of cruising, my tiny toddler now walks -- with her arms held up over her head!

Take care!

Hello all,

It`s been a while since commenting and I have no excuses other than being busy with Solar and other home business dealings.  All`s great with me and my family and the weather here in Oregon is starting to chill.  No snow yet but ice and frost in the mornings.

Update: I hurt my knee back in August and I guess I need surgery to remove stuff from under my knee cap.  The damage is torn and shredded cartilage.  I`m waiting surgery but otherwise I`m doing fine.

I hope you all are doing fine too and that your businesses are prospering.

Hey Ron,

I too have been neglect in postings throughout all of SuN. Things have been crazy here this year...seems I can barely get my feet under me before something bowls me over again!  Due to surgeries and recoveries and various other family issues...the nonprofit is at a stand-still until I can truly get my feet under me. Work is going well though...I got a promotion this past month and that has done wonders for my day!  I am moving into a new apartment this weekend...and potentially (*here`s hoping) making a major move back east sometime next year! We shall seee though!

All is well here in Oregon...you are right...the weather has chilled a little but the rain hasn`t been too painful yet! All I can hope is that it is not as bad a winter as everyone keeps saying it will be! Although, I don`t think we will see the good wines come from this year due to the early downfalls. We will have to wait and see how the vitners make out with what they got from their crops.

Looking forward to some R&R next weekend as I head back east again for my 4th or 5th trip home this year...I swear I have done more traveling this year than I have since I was in sales 7 years ago! It has been fun...I am really loving it!

Anyway...there is my update! Glad to hear things are well with you! Sorry to hear about your knee...although, I am suppose to go in to see a doc next week about mine...so fingers crossed I don`t need yet ANOTHER surgery!  I will keep you in my thoughts that your surgery goes well! My mom just had the same thing done this past year and her`s was successful...so my thoughts are with you!

Take care all,

Leah

Congrats on the promotion Leah, WAY TO GO!

As to my knee surgery, Worker`s Comp. has now indicated there were signs of "pre-condition" and has denied my surgery.  I have contacted and met with a Worker`s Comp. lawyer and I will be appealing so I guess I wait before I get my knee taken care of.

My doctor has indicated he cannot do the surgery (using my Chevron health benefits) unless I submit a letter that I`m not going to appeal - no way!  So I wait and deal with the pain.

I hope your trips home have been pleasant.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who read this.

Ron

Sorry to hear about the knee Ron! I just got done with my ortho yesterday and will start physical therapy on mine for the next three weeks to see if it will heal and if not we move towards MRIs and potential surgery! Personally...I am over having people cut into me...so I have my fingers crossed for NO surgery!

And thank you! The promotion is a nice boost...and I am really enjoying the added responsibilities. I have been traveling a TON for personal fun though and have been out of town so much I think they are starting to wonder why they promoted me!  HAHAHAHHAHA Luckily I still manage to get everything done for them...so no worries there! I am making plans for some major travel next year. I am going to try to get involved with some organizations that support third world development and support. It should be very enlightening and incredibly worthwhile! I am really looking forward to 2008!

Hope everyone else is doing well! Many warm wishes to everyone this holiday season and a very full and exciting New Year!

Thanks Leah, yeah, I had the MRI which indicated tearing and shredding to the maniscus and that surgery is necessary, I just don`t know when.

I too plan to travel but have not decided whether to go to the Phillipines or to Columbia.  I might also do a Panama canal cruise.  Time will tell and will depend on my knee.

Hello all.  Enjoy your Holiday Season.

Ron...that is crazy...they think mine is a torn maniscus! Left knee...inner maniscus...UGH...I ran a 5K just a month or so ago and now I can`t run at all...it is driving me crazy! I was trying to train for next year`s marathon!!! It is really a bummer! The good thing is...the doctor says my knees look healthy otherwise. We are really hoping this is NOT a torn maniscus and I will be back on my feet in no time! I sure hope so personally...I am not really wanting another surgery...and I am really wanting to get back to running!

Kathy...great to hear business is doing well!! Hope everything else is going well for you these days!

Happy Holidays!

Hi (to anybody who`s interested) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

UPDATE:  My knee - seems that Work`s Comp. had a "second opinion" doctor look at the MRI my Orthopedic Surgeon had done and indicated "signs of a pre-existing condition".  Duh, I`ve been using my knees for 61 1/2 years.  I guess some signs of use would show up.

Anyway, my doctor said (well, guess I should not repeat what he said) but basically his opinion was wrong and will testify in my behalf at the Appeals Hearing set for February `08.

Meanwhile I suffer.  My kids bought me a beautiful cane and I`ve asked my doctor if I can qualify for a temporary Parking Plague.  Pending.

Merry Christmas, Ho, Ho, Ho...
RSchlieper
