After having owned and operated my own company for many years, which I sold in 2005.

I am finding myself bored with just being an employee, not frustrated just bored. I am looking for something that I can do either as a home based or internet based business.

I have at present 3 days a week that I can commit, Anybody have an idea's.

Thanks

What was your past business?  Can you duplicate that again?

What are you doing now?  Can you create a business out of what you are doing - then get your present employer to hire you?

You business idea needs to come from you and your passions.

I agree 100% with what you are saying. My previous background was Commercial Finishes as both a Contactor and Consultant.

Currently I am in operations with an airline, with the limited time I will have initially I do not believe I could go back to what I did.

My passion is working with people and problem solving. My question really should have been more along the lines of "what business seem to be trending" .

Thanks for the reply

If you are thinking of starting up your own business, then play with your skills and your interest so that you won't end up getting bored again (that would be bad if you get bored with your own business since it could mean wasting a lot of your capital). Whether it is  home-based or internet based business, it wouldn't be of use if you are not really interested in what you will be doing because both fields needed concentration and perseverance. It took me a while before I got to where I am right now, and I had to brave a lot of problems to achieve whatever success I am enjoying today.

I'd suggest a slightly different tact - don't focus your thinking on what you're doing, focus on who you want to do it with!  Then your business will have more available time, you'll get to work with people right off the bat, and you'll probably be able to teach them some great things about how to be an entrepreneur.

Like Action Trumps Everything says, the vision that you build with them will be entirely different than what you'd come up with alone, and probably better for everyone!

Best of luck
