Hi Bottom Line Coach,

Congratulations on doing what you love to do and completing a book. I checked out your link and would like to suggest you may get more conversions from this page if you reword it to be less about you and more about the 3 or 6 or 10 things a visitor will gain by buying and reading the book.

My experience is you will not lose by turning your page into one big help site - your attitude of giving people just the tool they need to succeed will say more about your expertise than any information you provide about yourself and your experience.

Seems counter-intuitive...but it works! Good luck.

Do any of you use a formal assessment tool in your businesses? I've developed one that can be downloaded free from my website. Try it out, I'd love some feedback.

Hi All,

I have been keeping my nose to the grindstone so I haven't been here in a while.  I'm still keeping my head above water but barely.

I picked up another bridal shop in New England!

I also was honored to receive a Bride's Choice Award TM 2010 from www.weddingwire.com.  I'm not sure what it will do for the business but it sure boosted my morale.

Just had to share.

Hi Susan,

Glad you are sticking with your business and seeing results!  Yeah, New England is a great place to show your beautiful work.  This will spread!

Congrats on the Brides Choice Award!  That's GREAT!

Hi Eileen,

Thanks!

I moved the studio in the fall - much smaller space but space nonetheless.

All we can do is keep on keeping on.

This is when it is good to have a stubborn streak LOL!

Hi All,

I received an email from SUN about "MoreTrafficNow" wanting to add me as a friend.  When this happens I always like to at least look at the person's profile before I accept or reject.  When I tried to do this with them there was no information available.  Does anyone know anything about them?  Maybe I'm being paranoid but I like to know who I'm being friends with.

Thanks,

Susan

To Susan of Artisticveils.com, have you ever considered trying to contact one of the other wedding accessory businesses on SUN that is close by and maybe partnering with them on a trade show so you could split/lower your cost? (maybe even a fraction of the cost due to your smaller inventory?)

I'm new to being an entrepreneur - I'm just starting my virtual assistant business. At 60, I still have a FT job but I know that if I get laid off, my chances of getting another position are not good. I decided to start the VA business while I'm still working so that I can have a source of income if my job fades.

I'm going to have a lot of questions for fellow boomers and I hope to be able to contribute as well.

Boomers bring a lot of experience and insight to being an entrepreneur.  However some have latched on to social networking and technology better and faster than others.

I believe those who embrace it and can merge experience with today's technology fair best...unless of course you're Warren Buffet or Michael Porov. Both billaires are the rare exception that made it happen without a computer.

So I guess there's always a way for the person who is determined and focused. Wink
