Hey all, a group of friends of mine just launched a new blog/resource for designers and I thought I`d share. I know this isn`t a design forum, but neither is this new website. It`s a site dedicated to the business of design and ironically enough, BoDo stands for Business Of Design Online. You can view the site at
www.businessofdesignonline.com. I`d love to hear any feedback so I can pass it along to them. Relevant feedback that is.

It looks good and I like it. Lot`s of relevant info! I bookmarked it.

But I must say I`m a bit thrown off by the presentation of this great
information. I found most of the posts very difficult to read. There
seems to be a lack of common formats from post to post.

Some have an excessive amount of links that the color changes in text
throw me off. Plus the fact that it`s hard to want to click on so many
things when you`re just trying to get through one paragraph. I don`t
understand the double headlines for each post. I get that the orange one
is a link but then why the green headline as well? Can`t you combine
them like with most blogs? And I also don`t get why some content is
green and some is not? I see that secondary headlines and lists are green
but that doesn`t seem to always be the case. It`s not consistent. Finally,
I`d say that many of the posts have one or two sentence paragraphs
repeated after another. That`s pretty difficult to read compared to larger
paragraphs.

Don`t get me wrong, overall it looks sharp and I like what the blog has to
say. I just think there`s something about the presentation that makes
some of it hard to digest, in my opinion. And for what that`s worth, I am
a designer and blogger myself.

Steve,

I will admit the presentation throws me off a bit too. I didn`t have anything to do with the design or I would`ve brought up some of the things you mentioned.

For the most part, I think the information is the most important part and I`m hoping some of the aesthetics and programming glitches will soon be fixed.

Thanks for the feedback and I`ll make sure to make a mental note of it if they ever ask for feedback on the site.
