I chose to set up my Merchant Account with First Data. I thought I had done everything I needed, only to have the account terminated. When I called, I got a little bit of a run around before I found out that an IP Address associated with my name had charged $36,000; then charged back had the account closed owing $24,000.

While speaking with a representative he let slip the name "Oscar", I don't know nor have ever known an "Oscar" personnally. When I asked for more information, the representative informed me I was "Black Listed" from ever having a Merchant Account in the USA and would have to do business eslewhere. When I asked for more information regarding the IP Address he said he could not tell me anything.

 

HELP! I have no idea what to do so I may launch my business and sell my storage solution.

His response sounds a bit suspicious - not wanting to give out any information.  Have you tried any other merchant account providers?  Your current provider might be scamming you.
