Hi everyone,

I am hoping to hire interns for the Fall and would offer a stipend and if it is not too late already arrange school credit.  I want to make sure the proposal I send to the school is top notch.  Any suggestions on a format for creating the internship proposal?

Thanks

Hello Katherine,

I`ve had an internship program for several years and highly recommend it to any small business owner.  While there is a learning curve with the college students that is greater than that you would have with an experienced employee, you`ll find they are eager to please and quick learners (even if their motivation is simply resume building).

I suggest you contact the Careers Placement Office of the nearest college or university.  Our business is near Indiana University, so we use both the College of Arts and Sciences and the Kelley School of Business.  Likely your local university will have an internship fair in the fall, which is a great way to find your interns for next Spring.

Below is a copy of one of our internship postings.  I hope this helps.  Feel free to email any questions.
