Hello, I am extremely new to this so go easy on me,

Basically, I have an Idea for a large scale website with many parts and such, and I just don't really understand how to protect my entire idea.

I want to share with potential people to help me with the project and investors but i'm

extremely paranoid of someone stealing my idea.

what is the best Intellectual Property Protection to go with? thanks!

I wish I could answer your question, but if you search on governmental websites you might find something.

What I have done is, I ask them to sign a confidentially agreement.

If you would like, I have a confidentially agreement form that I can email you.

Good luck,

Well that certainly is a common dilemma. Anyone you show this too has to sign a non-disclosure agreement. If you have the money to do it outright then you are a client and the company is less likely to steal. If you don't have money find out what type of programming will be needed in order to accomplish the first prototype. If you can do it yourself and keep it under wraps then you can show it to the right investors etc. at the right. Once the idea is out of the bag you have to be careful. Buy used books on certain programming aspects look for software that simulates what you are trying to accomplish. Look for apps that take care if aspects of what you are trying to do. This is an exercise in do it yourself for the first prototype. At least it will be under your control until you are in a better position to reveal it. Do as much as you can do. If you have to draw the screens on paper then do it. At least you can sign and date the drawings and copyright them. You are trying not to act hastily and just give away the store. Ideas are taken every day. Take it one step at a time. Learn everything you can. Do as much as you possibly can. Tutorials and forums are plentiful as it relates to software questions. The more you learn the more control over the project. Good luck Louis

Thanks to all for sharing the post. Protective a brand new plan is commonly a tough method. Some concepts and inventions merely can't be protected, whereas others square measure eligible for under slim or partial immunity from potential competition and imitation. Getting even negligible protection will typically be higher ticket and long, and therefore the final result could also be unsure or perhaps inopportune to the discoverer.
