Hi All,

As you know there are many e-commerce solutions. I would like your feedback on the best solutions you've used/found and why.

Thanks & God Bless,

There are hundreds of products that can come under the umbrella of 'ecommerce solutions". Please be more specific.

Hi Hersh,

I'm not exactly sure I'm clear on what specifics you are referring to. I am looking for ecommerce solutions for an online store. For example, Volusion, ProStores, etc.

I hope this helps.

You are looking for all-in online store building solutions. Volusion is pretty good, so is Prostores, Mr Site has a good repo in UK.

Great if you can get users who have used any of them to share their views. I reckon you should survey yourself and see which one suits your pocket and requirement.

I have never been a big fan of all-in stores. I'd rather develop a store on somewhere like Joomla with full control. But thats me.

Best,

Hersh

I prefer ZenCart, an open source FREE ecommerce program. Good features and functions, many templates available to customize" the look of the site, can be hosted by most hosts... and can be moved to another host if you need.

I do not suggest a hosted / all-in-one solution like yahoo stores, etc.

Here is some discussion about ecommerce programs - there is a lot on SuN about ecommerce:

I always recommend FrameWork Sites to people. I've used it a lot in the past and my clients love it. The software is a CMS and it comes with a shopping cart and everything else you need built in. My clients like it because it's so easy for them to make updates and add products etc.

Hope this helps!

For merchants who require a minimum set of ecommerce features, you can use the VevoCar free version.

It's completely free and good for production use.
The free version can be downloaded at http://www.vevocart.com/DownloadGreeting.aspx

I'm new to this forum, but I stumbled across an interesting new shopping cart called 'My Shoppin Cart".

Here's a link to it .... tell me what you think.

I like to use the Shopp plugin for wordpress. It's dynamic and SEO friendly. Best of all you can have both a ecommerse shopping cart WITH a blog. This is perfect for fresh content and we all know how much Google loves fresh content. :)
