I said it before and I`ll say it again and I`m realy surprised that  they weren`t already listed.

"Think and Growth Rich"  by Nepolean Hill

" Success through a Positive Mental Attitude" by Dr Norman Vincent Peale

Are two Must reads,  No you must read them several times, I personally listen to the audio tapes on the ride to work.

The Information these books offer are valuable to every person with the desire to accomplish anything, Business, Sports or just a happier life.  There isnt a person alive that I know of that wouldn`t benefit from these readings.

I challenge anybody who has read these books and feel there is a better title out there, because I would like to here about it.

Mike - I`ve heard a lot of good things about "Think and Grow Rich" so I`ll have to check them both out.

Netrix,

after reading them the first time back when I was in the service  ohhh  some 23 years ago, I quickly came to the conclusion that they may have been the 2nd best books ever written right behind your personal religious Bible.

The difference between the two in my opinion is that your Bible has more learning lessons by far but they are not explained as they are more so in the two that I speak about.

I am looking forward to your review if you could let me know when your done what you think about them.  They were my first self development books I have ever read and don`t know if its just my own biasness.

Personally, if I could so just one thing for the world that would be to have the power to have everybody in the world read these two books.

Being a "creative type," I tend to read business books that are a bit less traditional.  Some that I`ve really enjoyed reading are:

BRAG! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It, by Peggy Klaus

Footnotes: What You Stand For Is More Important Than What You Stand In, by Kenneth Cole

Shameless Exploitation in Pursuit of the Common Good: The Madcap Business Adventure by the Truly Oddest Couple, by Paul Newman and A.E. Hotchner

A Whack on the Side of the Head, by Roger von Oech

yep, goto Google and type-in MILLIONDOLLAR BOOKSHELF - the best self-help books for free download - no strings!! Including `Think and Grow Rich`

also, try buying books on eBay - there are a lot

of how-to`s without big names (afterall, those
big names really don`t write their own books - they
use ghost writers) for far less!! I buy books for

under a dollar plus modest shipping costs, then

skim books for specific content and combine

info. into a scrap book - it would foolish to think

one author has all the answers. I have friend who

believes `Rich Dad, Poor Dad` books have proprietary

information that is hardly found elsewhere!! Why go to school? lol

Thanks again, misterwicks2006, for the great information, and links to free info for those of us working on "shoestringing it"!

I also love the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series, and have most of them on my shelf now.  They are an awesome resource for those who want simple to understand instructions, but want to maintain a creative edge!
