I just started my new business and I`m looking for the best bank to do business with. I need to open my business checking account. Anybody have recomendation of banks that you`ve worked well with and offer great programs for the new entrepreneur?

I prefer not to use b of a because of cust service issues I`ve had with them in the past.

Thanks in advance. Much success to everyone!

Id leave that one up to your own personal needs.  When I started my business, I interviewed about 10 banks.  Many local business banks and many larger national banks as well.  There were pros and cons to each one.  One big questions to ask yourself is if you plan to keep a minimum amount of money in your bank account at all times.  Let`s say for example your new business has liquid start up capital of 50K.  They have plenty of programs and incentives if you keep more than 10k in your account at all times.

I met with a few banks that had awesome rates on their interest bearing checking accounts but they were plagues by very few locations and limited transactions.  I ended up going with Chase bank, they had awesome services, the lowest rate(bad thing) on their intersted bearing checking account but to me that wasnt the most imporant thing to me.

Do your homework.  Each bank is stranger in certain states and cities than others.

That`s great advise. It just come down to what my needs are pretty much like you said and who has the best to offer at the moment with the capital I have.

Thanks again!

Citizens Bank (if you are in their market) is pretty good.  I`ve had them personally for years, and I plan on opening up my business account with them soon.  I guess it helps that I have a friend as a branch manager though.

Not everyone is aware of interest bearing checking. This is thought to be endangered. Contrary to popular belief, there are some interest-bearing checking accounts available and some are even accessible for the non-hoi-toi set. It is somewhat rare and not many accounts offer very good yields, but they can be found.
