Don't forget to go back to the very basics.  What do all people do in life?  We are born, we grow in size, get sick, go to school, get jobs, work, have kids, our kids have hobbies we pay for, retire, get sick (again) and pass away.  Any business related to any of these activities would be considered recession resistant, because nothing is recession proof. The basics do the best, but it all comes down to your marketing plan in the modern era.

I don't think that there is any business in this competitive market which is completely recession free. The recession effect any business in one or in other way. Recession effect on the type of business it is.

Interesting comments,

I am always in a live and learn mode, and given several comments have said there is no completely recession proof business, so I have to ask, do you eat every day?  Sorry, but food is recession proof, absolutely, 100%, no one can do without food, and when it comes down to losing your house or eating, guess which one people will choose.

I have been doing nothing but researching recession proof businesses over the past couple years knowing this current recession is going to last for years, and seeing some of my former businesses in decline, it was a strategy I had to adjust to and have, and thankfully my strategy has not only allowed me to survive recession, but thrive depite of how bad things are for most.

In all of my research, food comes out on top over everything else.  Of course, any business which saves you money is a close second if it involves those items you cannot live without, as in food. lol  Seriously, if you can save everyone money on groceries, as example, then add in the convenience of free home delivery, plus offer an income opportunity, it doesn't get anymore recession proof than this in my experience.

Everyone eats, everyone wants to save money almost everyone is looking for additional income with all the unemployment, econonic uncertainty, rising foreclosures, all but one state escaped declining incomes this past year, so no matter how much I have researched, it all comes down to discount groceries being the best home based businesses, and I have only found two compaines which offer all three of these major components.

As others have commented on health, which is also recession proof since poor health is the number two reason for financial hardship behind losing your job, this has also made my list or best recession proof businesses.  Staying healthy is not only a new evolving trend, but it is the only way this new healthcare program will ever work without bankrupting country, which I might add, it already is, so staying healthy has to be second best recession proof business to be in.

Success to all,

Interesting,

Having researched all the best recession proof businesses which involve low to no cost to start, I have found very few which are truly recession proof, and judging from the posts here, food is the winner.

As I look back at the time of the great depression, one thing is obvious, people would barter and trade anything they had for food items, and many of those people who baked the bread of had gardens were the ones who survived, while those who owned the big businesses lost everything, so I still think food is the only truly recession proof business to be in for everyone eats, always have, and always will. lol

Success to all,

The Ultimate MBE-barter Movement is honestly the only truely recession-proof business out there. As this Administration has proven to all of us, even Governments are not recession-proof - they are in more debt than in the history of America has ever known. The privately owned Federal Reserve is laughing (literally) all the way to the bank!

Ingeniously, back in 2000, wary that the economy might crash, a smart fellow founded the very first, true barter-backed currency mechanism: The Ultimate MBE-barter-backed Economy System.

Simply put, it's a very simple, highly effective way for businesses to pay for goods and services without using money. All the prices are the same, it's just a different way to pay and receive payment.

Remember the name, you'll be hearing it an aweful lot, as it's the only viable solution we have to get out of this global economic catastrophe!

Interesting,

I have been researching every type of business there is looking for the best, as well as the least expensive home businesses to start.  I focus on value first, compensation second, and this pre-launch is one I consulted for a friend, so my years of experience went into this refreshing new business.

Food, everyone eats, always have, always will, so given this is the number one consumable in the markets, this offers the best chance of long term success.  Best of all, it is free to join, plus you can order (8) eight sample meal items with no obligation or usual mandatory autoship. We feel that when customers taste our high quality organic gluten free no homone foods, all freshly dyhydrated and freeze dried, the products and selection speak for themselves and will do all the selling for everyone.

No one likes to sell, but everyone can share and tell, and this is what we designed, a simple easy no cost home business geared with long term residual income, plus option to earn free food, your choice.  Try it, you will soon learn why we feel this is the perfect recession proof business.  We addressed every negative in the home based business industry and eliminated every one leaving only the positives, so register today and be at the top, before we go public.  Site is beta testing, but fully functional.
